moomin mail!

This week I received this lovely postcard from a friend. I'd sent her a recipe and a postcard and she wrote back! This has made me reconsider the whole "only proper letters will count" rule. I hadn't even included what I sent her as part of this project. And so I am going to be a lot more flexible about this. After all, the reason I'm doing it is to revive good old fashioned snail mail paper correspondence. So we'll see how this proceeds.

Snail mail...what a wonderful old antiquated custom. Before my MIL got dementia (do you catch dementia like a cold? I think not)...but before she did...she would write me long, long, letters on big yellow pads of paper...we had a regular snail mail correspondence. She never got into computers. Sometimes I would cheat and write on my computer, print it out and mail it to her.
But writing in long hand had a special calming feel to it. I have no one who would expect a snail mail letter today!
I did receive a Thanksgiving Day card in the snail mail today from my oldest and dearest friend.
It's nice that you are doing this and your paintings/drawings are grand.
